A happy time of the year is around the corner, because the largest night time parade in the area, which bring smile to all faces - the traditional Holiday Parade 2013 in Venice FL is less than two weeks away.
When: November 30, 2013 Saturday
Time: 5:00pm pre- parade entertainment. Parade starts at 7:00pm
Where: Venice downtown starts at corner of Park Blvd and W. Venice Av.

Street closing: Venice Ave. on the island will be closed at 3:00pm from Business 41 to Venice Beach.
Who are the Holiday Parade’s participants?
There are more than 3,000 participants representing about 120 local businesses, non-profit organizations, churches, schools and music groups to make this festival a fun event where thousands of residents and visitors of all ages will enjoy the beginning of the holiday season.
Trees and lamp posts on Venice Avenue will be decorated with colorful lights. Music and live entertainment performed by local young children and teenagers from schools and dance studios start at 5:00pm.
The holiday parade with lit floats and marching bands will be broadcast live on the SNN TV station from 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Holiday Parade Route
The parade begins at the corner of Park Blvd and West Venice Ave. It continues to the North side of Venice Ave., turns right (south) on Nokomis Street, continues onto Turin Street West, and ends at the Venice Community Center at 326 Nokomis Ave. S.
Insider Tips
Bring your lawn chair or blanket for your comfort to sit along the streets. Make sure you remember to bring cash for cookies, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza and drinks offered for sale by High School Booster Clubs, Scouts and local non-profit service organizations all along the parade route by approval only.
Free parking available at Centennial Park, Post Office, and East Tampa Av beside the Venice Ave. Bridge.
Public restroom is located on Venice Ave. across from Daiquiri Deck Restaurant.
