Retirement, entering a new life season. Living on a fixed income to get the maximum on the minimum.maine lobster photos

Because you now have more time. To adjust, dial in the extra recreation, exercise, hobbies.

All the stuff the "take the 8:15 into the city" BTO crooned about messes up.

Shelves, tables, puts on hold. That just Saturdays, Sundays and a week or two of vacation here and there  just don't afford enough time to accomplish what needs doing.

So retiring, retirement in Maine. Are you flipping a maine waterfront lake photocoin these days? Looking for a state, a rural unspoiled setting to runaway from the city, urban concrete jungle?

Because you now can. Have to, to  get to fresh air, bluer skies. Brighter night skies of stars, cleaner water, more wildlife, less people?

Everything you know about real estate prices, divide by three and four. Forget a mortgage, you can pay cash. Own the property outright.

Maine real estate is just cheaper, has more land, acreage wrapped around it too.

Come for the lobsters, lighthouses moose, blueberry pies and baked potatoes.

The friendly, down to Earth people that connect, need you in the 108 small Maine communities and just a handful of cities. That dot Vacationland.

Roger ... The same shopping list of why Maine is great for retirement, applies to help out the group looking for vacation properties along the way. For young famlies wanting to live in the 4th lowest crime state for the same reason. It is such a large state that the "buffet" is huge, varied and not too many other people, boat loads of wildlife and natural beauty abound. Man has not messed it up, we try to be good stewards, respectful of what we have been blessed with. Take a trip to a Maine lighthouse, cross the big green bridge on the other end. Or sample early morning fishing on a Maine lake.
