Hi Than,

Yes that they got; a free range. Some lady stopped and opened her door and was trying to get them to jump in. I have seen dogs jump in cars but never chickens!

Hi Patricia,

I have seen the chicken out once before but not the rooster. Maybe she was leading him astray. Here is an older picture so maybe she is leading him astray.

Kristin,

Sounds like they are in free range frame of mind...one of the homes we drove by regularly while living in Napa wa one that had some prized roosters and chickens, and they were beautiful to look at.  They always seem to wander on to the street or cross the road.  Everyone, was very thoughtful and would wait for them to cross or head back home.  A

Kristin - The chickens have told me they aren't escaping from the chicken coup.  They are escaping from the Chicken SOUP!

Hi Ron and Alexandra,

Yes everyone was going slow but it just takes someone speeding and not paying attention who accidently hits one of them. I wish the owner would fence them in better.

Hi Myrl,

Maybe they are working for slave labor and that is why they escaped? Yes soup could be a big threat too. Here they are going down the other street...freedom ahead.

Chickens are hilarious to watch.  I have 7, less than I use to. It doesn't take long to see their personalities come out in a flock.

Hope no one runs over them. Where I used to live colorful roosters would walk along the road, and one day, there was one of them squashed in the middle of the road.

Hi Joanna,

I am think he is tempting fate as I see these poor birds out all the time but this is the first time I saw them crossing a 4 way stop and running down the sidewalk towards the elementry school. Maybe they want to learn to read and write.

Hi Catherine,

I have read articles where people say they are like dogs and run around the yard and even come in sometimes. Roosters I know are good watchdogs as I had one chasing me while showing property once.

Hi Pamela,

I am worried about these two as they don't seem to know to be scared of cars. I feel like getting my hammer and some nails and going and nailing the coup shut.

Hi David,

No as they were about 400 ft away and running fast the last time I saw them. Cracked me up but it is an unsafe situation but we did see the humor in it regardless.

Hi Michael,

I am told chickens make good pets. I wish I could have a few running around the yard but my HOA doesn't allow it even though I am in a rural area of the city.
