Fishhawk Lake--Keep Your Camera in Hand!

Hi Gayle, When I first started taking photos as a hobby, I bought my first DSLR camera which is a Pentax and six months later I purchased the more advanced Nikon which I still use. I was going to sell the Pentax but because it is like new, I have decided to purchase an air tight case to keep the Pentax in my trunk so I will always have a camera with a couple lenes even when not carrying the Nikon equipment.

Been caught too many times not having my camera with me and then trying to rely on the iPhone.

Gayle, EXCELLENT!  I can never get even my cell phone camera working quick enough to get shots like this!

Thanks for sharing a few more great shots, that last one was very nice, its good that you had your camera handy.

I see a lot of eagles fairly up close, but almost never have time to grab a camera, I glad that you are much more prepared than I am.

They are magnificent animals aren't they?  To think Benjamin wanted the turkey to be the national bird.

Gayle-I would say you captured these magnificent birds wonderfully, I can picture you now all excited as you photographed these.

THAT is very cool Gayle. I am not sure I have ever encountered two bald eagles with the camera. Your nature sure flourishes there.

What a great opportunity you got to capture on film (pixels.) Very jealous of you getting to see these majestic birds in the wild where you work and live. Then to have the camera ready, what a great day!

I never tire or get over the thrill of seeing these big birds in action. As you might guess, growing up in Alaska, they were everywhere. The biggest thrill was when we'd be out fishing and dad would throw a bait fish up in the air - the eagles would swoop down and get it - talk about thrilling.

I hate missing great shots because I didn't have camera in hand.   That would have been thrilling to see the two eagles.  The bottom picture turned out great.
