Margaret, yes, this is an interesting review to do occasionally. As you said some of the posts we work hard on don't get much response and other quickies get a ton. If I have time I try to analyze why.

I do check them regularly - what is gratifying to me is how older posts keep getting fresh looks!
I do that periodically....for input as to what is most popular...it isn't the comments that tell the whole story as you know.
Checking Stats For 2013
Seems many of us are checking our Stats on the ActiveRain page.
If you click on "Stats" at the top of the page, you are able to see the number of comments, the number of views and the number of clicks received for each blog.
This is fun to go back and check what blogs have gotten a lot of traffic. It may not be ones that you have spent the most time writing. Sometimes a quick idea turned into a post gets more views or comments than you would expect.
Have you checked your stats.

From my daily blogs in the past year, here are five from 2013 that are favorites and have received a fair amount of views.

Anyway thanks for the reminder. I rarely go back and look at my statistics. "The moving finger writes and having writ moves on .." but when it comes to blogs, what it writ will actually still be out there.
