I wanted to write this post to recognize the solid good service I've received from Carl's Heating and Air, based out of Pflugerville, Texas. I've had Carl out to my house three times this year. Obviously, I would prefer not to require his services at all, since it means our A/C broke (late summer) and our heat did, too (early winter, but super-cold outside). The heat actually broke two different times, once downstairs and, yesterday, upstairs as well.
Carl is a true professional. He did a full replacement of our downstairs A/C unit in July, and it was great work, completed within 24 hours of our original call.
Just after Thanksgiving, when I called about the heat (because it was literally freezing outside and 50-something degrees in our bedroom), he was here within a couple of hours, found the problem, then returned within a few hours with a part to get it taken care of, so that my family would have heat. He did all of this while suffering from the aftereffects of a torn rotator cuff and wearing a sling on his arm.
Later that same night, when the heat stopped working yet again, he came back at 7:45pm or thereabouts to work on it. He was here until after 9pm, and it's working well (there was a really dirty sensor of some sort). Keep in mind - he was still injured with rotator cuff issues! He didn't charge a dime for the second trip and subsequent required labor.
Last night, we returned from a trip to Houston to find that the heat wasn't working upstairs. I called Carl this morning, and he was here and able to get everything working quickly with relatively minimal cost (around $200). He even "tuned up" the other heater, so it's working better now as well.
