“Foodie Fridays” in Austin
If you are have a craving for fried chicken this week-end do I have the place for you to try! We have many "Oh...soooo" Austin places and this is another one....no chain restaurant variey. Grab a special friend, your family or a group of friends to have fun and enjoy some fun food! Come on in and sit a spell and let Lucy do the cooking.

Lucy’s food has been described as Southern classic Austin style. Real southern home cooking that is tasty and very unique. Great fried chicken the way it should be: crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sides are so good, it will be hard to decide which is your favorite!
If the weather is nice, sit outside on their outdoor covered patio and if it’s a little cool, no problem, they’ve got heat lamps. A sampling of what you’ll find on their menu: Deep Fried Deviled Eggs – four buttermilk deviled eggs with crunchy chicken skins aioli…Fried Chicken Nachos: tortilla chips smothered in refried beans, cheddar, cotija, green chiles, crema, avocado and house escabeche. How about a Fried Chicken Salad Sandwich served on pumpernickel bread with house slaw and a side of house smoked cayenne potato chips. Or, since we’re in Austin, TX how about a Drunk Catfish Sandwich: blackened catfish on Texas toast with house pimento cheese, cucumber and jalapeno mescal jelly. For dessert, they’ve got an awesome Sweet Tea pie: southern sweet tea chess pie with lemon and whipped cream. Check out this video of Lucy’s being challenged by Zagat:
