To Drone or Not To Drone
It's Sunday night, and that time I wait for all week while collecting great blog posts to share with those friends who missed them the first time around.
I hope you enjoy these and take the time to stop by (click on the title above) and leave a note for the original blogger.
I hope you all have a great week!
I understand NAR had a display for drones as the future. Some have a fear about drones. I have been flying RC helicopters for years. Great fun. I was so happy to get my quad-copter, attach a camera to it and go to the air. Amazing is all I can say. Though the FAA is trying to control it, and the court through out their $10,000 suit against a videographer. I still have some personal rules about aerial videos and photography.
- Never fly near streets, one accident and the liability will wipe out commissions. Sometimes parking lots are ideal, just not full ones.
- Never fly near people, land on one and...
- Respect neighbor privacy, keep the video on the property. If unavoidable try to blur out neighbors with software or fly low enough you minimize view of neighbors.
- Never fly near an airport, hospital with a heli-pad or police station with a heli-pad.
- Don't fly near military bases, prisons, jails or businesses that may have security concerns.
- Safey, safety, safety.
If you don't know how to fly RC helicpoters then hire someone or go out and buy one to practice before putting $1,000 worth equipment in the air. You will crash when first flying. That is a guarantee. I stopped using the auto return feature to mine. Learned the hard way that a low battery effects the sensors on the copter. Thank goodness the plate on the gimbal was soft metal and bent. Straightened it out and nothing else damaged. Here is a sample of vacant land with a drone. All done with an RC copter and camera.
