Can Feng Shui deprive opportunities of Home Sales?
This is a very powerful and great question to review. At first glance one could say yes, a potential buyer walks away because from their perspective a home has "bad" Feng Shui due to location, maybe objects or what ever else they may visually scan.
On the flip side one could say No, because you have another potential buyer step in, still following the principles of Feng Shui and approach it with, what can we do to enhance this space to make it better since certain structural aspects of the home can not be changed.
What I'm getting at is, it becomes that Individual's own personal preference in what method of Feng Shui they choose to embrace during the buying and implementation process.
Compass Method Western Ba-gua Map
There are about several methods of Feng Shui, "Western Feng Shui" being the most recent method to come about which has also been simplified. This method of Feng Shui was specifically created for us westerners because the more traditionally forms (compass, form, five elements) conflicted with how our home's have been designed from the past. so this allows mass flexibility even if your home is located on a "t-junction," near a drain, located in a cul de sac, etc.
I personally find when blending all the various Feng Shui methods as needed, the results have been extremely positive. Resolution with all possibilities are on the table yet, if the buyer or client says "no" then the flexibility becomes less so the method of choice becomes more narrow. It become their choice.
- If you know certain objects on display are deterring a potential buyer, remove them. Keep that space simple (KISS).
- Be practical in your approach, how is the MLS presentation of the home? how is the landscaping? is the house clean and presentable? are you willing to negotiate if need be?
I have experienced similar situations with clients from time to time, if that person shows stubbornness with the process, please do not force it. Let go and allow. I have found when I approach it in that manner of thinking, that one client who I let go, would allow 2 others to step in who were serious about collaborating with a home consultation or buying a home and follow through.
