YouTube Thursdays - The Importance of Audio in your Videos
Videos help sell real estate and help introduce buyers to the community. Audio is an added element that allows you to set the stage, create a feel and tell people about the benefits of a home or area. Double the effect of the video by doing some audio and make it a video to remember. Debb Janes is a master of video and demonstrates just how to use it and leverage its effectiveness.
YouTube Thursdays. The Importance of the Audio in your Videos.
Today, YouTube Thursdays focuses on the importance of using music, natural sound, or both in videos. Videos have the power to create an experience - they can transport us, and evoke emotions. Leaving out the benefits of setting a scene through the use of music or natural sound is a huge mistake. Yet, it happens more often than not.
Rather than writing about the significance of good audio selections, here are three examples of videos clips that underscore the point. These scenes are taken from a video I produced for my Fishhawk Lake pal, Gayle Rich-Boxman. Our marketing gurus, Alexandra and Ron Seigel asked me to produce a video selling the lifestyle at Fishhawk Lake.
They are very short clips because you are busy people.
Example 1. Video without sound. How effective is it when you watch? It might be pretty, but it’s not giving you much of an experience.
Example 2. Natural Sound. Adding the natural sound of the wind chimes, and the wind in the trees, begins to set the scene.Example 3. Carefully chosen music. Adding this selection of music ( along with the natural sound) really sets the stage for the magical and mystical feel one experiences while visiting Fishhawk Lake.
Finally-Good quality microphone for voice tracks. Make sure you choose a dialog that matches the cadence of your lifestyle video. Often, fewer words have a much bigger impact.
I hope you experiences how amazing the use of natural sound, music, and carefully chosen words can be when you’re selling a lifestyle with the use of video.
