Throwback Thursday: Riding My Bike
I loved to play outside when I was a kid. I can still remember my parents saying, "come inside when the street lights come on".
I was 2 1/2 when this photo was taken. My favorite bike was my Schwinn with the banana seat and the huge basket on the front. Those were the days!

I love that you actually had a photo riding your bike. My mom has all the photos from when I was a child. I think it's time to get those.
I remember a red tricycle that had a bent front fender. Wow, that was a very, very long time ago!
You still resemble your childhood photo! Love it, and yes, I loved my bike, too!

Teral~ I don't remember having too many. There was the tricycle in the photo, the banana seat Schwinn (it was white and the seat had pink flowers, very girly). Then as a teenager I had at least 2 ten speeds because one was stolen. I remember going to the bike shop in town with my Dad to pick them out. Good memories!
Alicia~ Was thinking the same thing when I was looking at the photo. My parents must have been so proud!
John~ I can say I really don't have any memories of this bike. The Schwinn is another story!
Tammie~ I got this photo from my Godmother a few years before she passed. She said, "I'm giving the to you now, because my kids won't recognize you and won't know what to do with them." I'm so glad she did that!

I will always remember mine. It was the 3 wheeled high wheels tricycle and I have a permanent scar on my knee from flipping it at about 3 years old.
I am shopping for a new bike for my daughter Donna and, what do you know, the Schwinn with the banana seat is back!

I do not remember my tricycle and I remember my Schwin bike; it was blue and had blue and white streamers hanging out of the handlebars. I thought I was so cool.

I share my first bike with my two brothers and two sisters, not a fond memory. :)

Wow! Those were they days when our parents could let us play outside on our trikes and know we'd come in when the street lights went on! Cute photo.
That was when we could play all day outside and sleep so soundly at night. I don't remember my first trike but I do remember my first bike, a JC Higgins from Sears...

Look at what a cutie you are Donna! I had a first bike in grade school, a hand me down powder blue one that I raced to school and back on.
Hi Wanda! I haven't ridden a bike in years, unless you count stationary bikes! I've thought about getting one (I have a REALLY old one with flat tires) but I'm not sure I'd make the time to use it.
