Call 511 from your cell phone, home phone, public phone or online for free up-to-date traffic information all the time about road conditions, construction zones and emergency evacuation, public safety alerts, traffic times, transit, airports or seaports, accidents, lane closures and congestion.

Travel Safety Tips

Always buckle up with a safety belt

Florida Safety Laws

All drivers and front seat passenger must wear a seat belt.

All children under 5 years old must be seated in a federally approved child car seat.

Any adult who leaves children under 6 years old in unattended car can get fined.

Your vehicles must have 2 headlights, and they must be turned on between the hours of sunset and sunrise. For motorcycles on the road your headlights must be on all the time.

It is illegal to text while driving; however you may talk on cell phone.

Driving under the influence (DUI) in Florida can be charged if your blood alcohol level is .08% or higher.
