Many of you have followed Tristan's story as he has grown up here in the Rain! He was like 4 years old when we joined ActiveRain. We have shared his photos and his journey in life, homeschool and baseball.
Today he celebrates his 12th birthday- where did the time go???
12 years ago we welcomed our last child into this world. He has brought us immense love and joy. Raising 8 children before he was born certainly gave me a lot of wisdom into how to raise a child. He is amazing, smart and wise beyond his years.
We treasure each moment with him because we already know how fast time flies when you have children.
He is blessed to have so many siblings you love him and now nieces and nephews who adore him! Our grandchildren look up to him and love to be around him. He is a great babysitter too!
Baseball is his passion. He has determination, skill and the talent to play baseball. But what he has even more is an incredible understanding of the mental game of baseball. Most kids his age don't have a grasp on the mental part of the game yet.
We are so proud of what he has accomplished in homeschool too. This year he is doing high school classes and middle school classes.
He has earned his Arrow of Light in Boy Scouts, has earned the rank of Scout and just one step away from Tenderfoot- he is on the path to Eagle Scout.
He is Red Cross Certified in CPR and First Aid.
This Sunday he is going to be ordained to the office of a Deacon in the Aaronic Priesthood at our church, LDS church. I am SOOOOO proud of his decision to live the gospel and to be worthy to hold the priesthood.
