I have learned, perhaps a little later than others. that there are fundamental things that matter and these things are always true. Family, good or bad, will be an influence in your life forever. Loving relationships change but the good you get outweighs any pain you experience. Education matters even if there no direct connection to what you do with it. Health is taken for granted until you lose it. Stuff is cool but fleeting. Life gets shorter as you age, and experience helps you measure not only growth but value. So that's my view.
