John - thanks.  This list was fun to put together, and has grown over the past few years for me as I have tried to expand the horizons of my 90 years old Mom, who has moved in.

Chris Ann - the Crane viewing is awesome.  But you need a great zoom lens to really capture the amazing shots.  The birds do not like to land where the people are so the viewing area is a bit distant.  But to see hundreds of cranes landing in the dusk light is amazing.

Winston - why thanks.  We share the same sentiment.

Rene - The Arboretum is a beautiful place to walk through various zones - gorgeous.  And the City Cemetary is spectacular.  John Sutter of our Sutter's Fort, and Mark Hopkins are buried there, as well as three of our old time governors.  The music festival has morphed oover the years.  It used to be a world renown Jazz Festival, but has expanded the type of music as tastes have changed.  But still fun.
