We are experiencing Santa Ana conditions here in Orange County, and basically what it means is there is an off shore flow or wind. The prevailing winds generally come from the ocean which keeps the area very cool.

Yesterday and for the next few days we are experiencing Santa Ana conditions, so that means it will be windy, the temperatures will increase and there is increase fire danger.

This is a photo of the Newport Shores neighborhood in Newport Beach - there is currently no wind, but it is fairly warm right now, even at 7:15 am. Temperatures in Newport Beach are expected to reach 83 degrees today.

Sharon, I'm just a weeeeeee bit jealous! Today, calm waters, but rainy gray and Fishhawk Lake itself is looking quite dark. However, a HUGE fish jumped (salmon) this morning while I was putting birdseed in the large feeder and the Canada Geese are as happy as can be!
