Lake Tarpon Bass Fishing - January 2015 - Palm Harbor Florida - This is certainly the best way to begin the new year, out on the quiet waters of Lake Tarpon, enjoying the blue skies and sunshine!
Ronnie caught a bass, which I photographed before he released it. We don't eat fresh water fish, so this guy is going to get a chance to grow before somebody else catches him!
It was perfect weather, with a few planes flying overhead on their way to Tampa International Airport. Other than the sound of the planes and the motor of a boat or two, it was a peaceful afternoon in the sun with a high of 80 degrees. Today is supposed to go up to 82 degrees, so we are off to an excellent start this year!
This is exactly why I love living in the Palm Harbor Florida area - you can go fishing in places like Lake Tarpon, which is 2534 acres in size, in January and have sunshine and blue skies. What could be better? Sandwiches on the boat, enjoying life!
