No Speed Limit in California by Robert Vegas Bob Swetz 1-6-2015
 
Vegas Bob just heard the craziest news in the state of California. The state of California has been talking about getting rid of the Speed Limit through out the whole state.
 
Now for some reason Vegas Bob is really having a tough time believing this latest breaking news.
Since Vegas Bob has been back driving around the Bay Area, he is wondering "Why" the state of California even has a Speed Limit.
What Vegas Bob has noticed while driving in California is ...
If the Speed Limit is 30 mph, then the Californians are driving 40 to 45.
And if the Speed Limit is 45 mph, they are driving 55 to 60. And if the Speed Limit is 65 mph, they are driving 75 to 80 ;o/
 
 
So the only thing Vegas Bob can think about Californians driving so fast is ...
They can't read the Speed Limit signs
They love breaking the Law ...
Or they are just in a hurry to go ...
 
"No Where"
 
Driving 10-15-20 miles over the Speed Limit doesn't get you to your destination any sooner, it just increases peoples chances of dying in a car crash ;o(

Hello Paul ... and yes there would be revenue lost! The problem is there are so many millions of cars on the roads in the Bay Area & LA area that many locals drive as fast as they want to never get caught ;o/

Vegas Bob, I see the same thing here all the time. The speed limit signs really aren't followed and there are a lot of accidents. It's best to slow down and be safe!

That does sound pretty crazy, but have driven in California, and you are right, they do not heed the speed limit!

Hi Vegas Bob.  I guess if you are in a traffic jam - the speed limit won't matter... lol.  I can't imagine not having a limit at all.  How would you ever know how fast is safe?

VB, CA is just like Texas based on your speed limit and speed folks drive at discussion. Everyone here speeds even in parking lots! The toll raod I drive on to get home has a speed limit of 70 and I drive 80 and get passed all the time!

That is crazy VB to think about eliminating the speed limit in CA. At least it keeps them 10 to 15 miles over the limits.

Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz Missouri is looking at raising our highway speed limits to 75- It would make traveling so much quicker between cities and as long as in the major municipalities- I am all for it;)  Keep us posted on this turn of events for California!
