Charlotte's Levine Museum Of The New South is a history museum focusing on the history of life in the Piedmont after the Civil War. The "centerpiece" of the museum is its "From Cottonfields too Skyscrapers: Reinventing Charlotte and the Carolina Piedmont in the New South" exhibit which spans some 8,000 square feet and includes over 1,000 artifacts, images, video clips, oral histories about Charlotte and the surrounding counties. It truly provides a wonderful and comprehensive look at how Charlotte and the Piedmont have grown.

Selma to Montgomery: The March for the Right to Vote: a travelling exhibit from the Birmingham Civil Rights Insititute, open at the Levine Museum of the New South until February 22, 2015.

Cedars in the Pines: 130 Years of Lebanese History in North Carolina: which opens May 7th, 2015 and runs through August 7th, 2015. This exhibit will trace the rich history and contributions of Lebanese immigrants to the South.
- !Nuevolution! Latinos and the New South: which opens September 20th, 2015 and runs through September 30th, 2016. This exhibit will explore how Latinos as shaping the new South and how the new South is shaping Latinos. Latino population in Charlotte has grown some 400% since 2000.
A highlight of Charlotte's spring social season is the Levine Museum's annual fundraiser: The Taste of the New South. This annual event, which takes place this year on April 16th, highlights the rich diversity of cuisines in the Charlotte area. It promises to "take you around the world in one delicious evening" with foods from Central and South America, Asia, Europe, and Africa. Truly a great event for Charlotte foodies!

Parking:
On weekdays, Levine Museum provides visitors 2 hours of validation for parking in the Seventh Street Station parking deck, which is located next to the Museum. After 2 hours, regular parking fees apply.
On weekends and for evening events, the Museum provides parking validation, with no hourly limit.
Visitors should present parking ticket for validation at the Guest Services desk upon arrival.
