Drizly Comes to Baltimore Today
In 2015 people can get almost anything delivered to their door step. In Maryland, however, to get alcohol most people have had to go to bricks and mortar stores to get their favorite libation. This has changed over the last year. Last year you could start ordering wine through mail order.
Now, in some areas you can order those libations like you would order a pizza. Drizly is opening in Maryland today and will be delivering from Canton Crossing Wines and Spirits, Wine Underground and Dulaney Wine and Spirits.
Drizly differs from, say, a pizza delivery folks, the drivers are employees of the liquor store and are issued with Drizly iphones where they keep track of inventory, see orders coming in and they will check ID at the door when delivering and if the driver feels the customer is too intoxicated when they get to the residence they can refuse to complete the order. They do charge a $5 delivery fee and customers are encouraged to tip the drivers.
You can download the Drizly app to your i-phone or android, put in your credit card information and place your order.
