I like unusual plants. One that I had gotten at a plant swap at a Nashville plant society meeting was a Syneilis Intamedia. This is an unusual plant that has an unique bloom. I thought that I had killed it as the greenhouse temps spiked earlier this year and the spikes withered and died. Thankfully, nature is resilient and new growth is emerging. I will be looking forward towards new blooms again this year.

P.S. Please leave a comment. I like comments ;-)

Michael, a very striking contrast with bright red budding flower against the vivid green and silky leaves.

Very interesting plant, Michael. Is it a shrub? A small bedding plant? It's a new one to me.

I think It would be fun to have a green house, unfortunately I won't be able to build one until I move again. It's something on my checklist for the next home.

Good morning all, this is a plant that grows to be about 12" tall. It is a shade plant and is native to Japan.
