Debb,

Nice report on multi-generational homes.  This Saturday, we visited over dinner with two AR members who are enjoying our coastline, and she mentioned that her 86 year old father lives with them...She enjoys having him around, and I am glad to see this trend instead of those retirement homes.  A

That well worn path between your home and your parent's is very special.  I love the idea of being able to pop in for a cup of coffee or a cup of sugar and there is no question that you and Bernie are in a well defined and very special niche.  BTW, Diesel's best friend is a pug named Pugsley!!! I love the video and your creative approach to your market.

Thanks all. We get creative too around here too  - so-called artists studios or shops are often ADU's. Folks just need to pull out a stove prior to selling the property.  The County is aware of the manipulation in the rules and even recognizes a lot of this is going on. I say, why not dare to change and recognize the need to allow and manage accessory dwellings for extended families. The times, they are a changing.

Houses that are conducive to multi-generational living will become more popular. "Aging in place" support systems means more families will be looking for homes that will be conducive to accommodate aging parents.

Beautiful spacious homes!

I hear that close to 20% of homes nowadays are multigenerational households: at least, 2 generations of adults living under one roof. However I feel this number is even higher after covid era combined with CA home affordability crisis  . Rents are so high in Los Angeles, younger people have no choice but to move in with parents or move their elder parents to live together.
