Where Have all the Condo Listings Gone
Today I received a call from and out of town buyer Well not really Born and raised in good old Northeast Philadelphia but his father still lived here . His father was in his mid seventies still active and working The buyer was now living in the mid west but wanted to come in this weekend and look at condos for his dad in Delaire Landing They had read my market reports and decided it was a much better idea to buy in today's market then to rent . After a nice conversation we agreed that I would set up several condos and would meet at my NE office on Sunday
I immediately went to the computer to set up appointments and low and behold all the listings were pending or under contract . There was one available but it was a third floor Quite a lot of stairs for me . I could not imagine someone in their mid seventies wanting to walk up three flights of stairs .
Calling back the buyer we were both amazed at how quickly everything had gone under contract . I do have a listing that will be coming soon as the term is stated . I explained some details need to be worked on before it is put on the market . I am going to meet the sellers tomorrow. I will have more information and will speak to the buyer and let him know the status .
Here is a quick reminder for those of you that think market reports are boring . The public does not . They read our market reports and call us when looking to buy or sell .
It is the end of May 2015 and it seems that our condo listing market is depleted .
Where have all the listings gone .
