Near Record Heat In Tucson.

Whew.  Let's just get the visual for the weather this week in Tucson:

(Photo from TV4 Tucson.)

Yikes.  Let's take it easy out there - and here are some funny things that only people in Arizona understand about the heat:

  • It is why we wear coats when it's 70 degrees outside.
  • No one questions why there are towels and oven mitts in your car (for those that don't know - towels are to sit on and oven mitts to touch the steering wheel so we don't burn our butts and hands!)
  • We will walk "way" across a parking lot just to have our car parked in shade - and any amount of shade is worth it.
  • Drive through ice cream stores that open at 8am make sense.

We usually get rain until the 4th of July but not this year, it has been warm here too (in the 80s) I know it's a dry heat Gabrielle Kamahele Rhind

Easy way to cool down.  Convert to Celsius and the numbers will be much lower.
