Delta County, CO 2nd Quarter 2015 Real Estate Market News
The Delta County real estate market continues to show improvement as we head into the last half of 2015. Overall the numbers keep looking better.
The first half of this year saw a 24% increase in sales volume compared to the first half of 2014. Last year there were 338 reported sales compared to 420 so far this year. The dollar volume also increased. The first half of this year saw a 32% dollar volume increase. Here's the numbers...in 2014 reported sales totaled $59 million. This year so far $78 million in sales have been reported.
The number of foreclosure filing also took a 30% decrease compared to 2014. Foreclosure sales have accounted for less than 10% of the market so far this year.
I think we are going to continue to see market improvement as we finish out the last half of this year and continue into 2016. We can still expect to see our seasonal slowdowns, but not with the impact we have seen in years past.
