Extraordinary Gaithersburg: Judith Clark
Judith Clark, founder of Women Who Care Ministries, was recognized at the August 17 Mayor and City Council meeting for her efforts to help the most vulnerable in our community overcome hunger, domestic violence, homelessness and substance abuse. The organization's many outreach initiatives include a backpack program providing hundreds of children with healthy food each weekend, a "Second Chance" mentorship program for inmates and their families, and the annual Domestic Violence Empowerment Luncheon, honoring those who have lost their lives to domestic violence and empowering survivors.
We know there are many people doing extraordinary things in our community each and every day. Let us know about them by emailing cityhall@gaithersburgmd.gov. Use "Extraordinary Gaithersburg" in the subject line.
This is a City of Gaithersburg announcement. For out of the area readers, Gaithersburg is located in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland in the north western suburbs of Washington, DC. If you have friends or clients being transferred to the DC Metro area, you should suggest that they consider the Gaithersburg area for their home purchase.
