Tuesday Travelogue-August 25th

Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our sixtieth week!  Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:

 

" to enjoy the ride"

"take a trip without even leaving the farm"

"expand your horizons"

"see through someone else's eyes"

  and hopefully much more!

 I'm very excited to travel through Tennessee today, as there are quite a few bloggers for me to choose from whom I know "deliver the goods" with photography and localism posts. 

Michael Thornton has been one of my favorite photographers in ActiveRain and so I delved into his archives and found this delightful and thoughtful gem from 3.3.13.

 There are any NUMBER of posts that I could pick of Rob Thomas's that build a LARGE localism spotlight on Bristol TN where he rules, but this was one about Little Pigeon River and weekend getaways, that I thought you would want to know about.

I like changing up these travelogue posts, and sometimes it's just pleasant to see what kind of flora and fauna are in a local area. Debbie Reynolds had a lovely post about all of the butterflies (MANY--she counted 15 for this post!) that visit her gardens in Clarksville, Tennessee. Butterflies are a sign of a healthy environment--thanks for giving them that, Debbie!

Normally I don't put the spotlight on homes for sale in this blogpost, but I have to say that Jeffrey Ditri (out of NY City!!!) caught my eye with his title "Ultra-Luxury Tree House" outside Nashville, TN and I just HAD to look! Feast your eyes as there are TONS of great photos--this was in May 2015, don't know if it sold, but WOW!!

So Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 Richard took the photo in Gatlinburg, TN, but Coweta County is in Georgia.  Richard has camera and will travel.  I've been to his office. He's fabulous. 

And this week, I already follow all three bloggers.  That's unusual.

Hi Gayle-What a great line up of places you have found in Tenn including the ones Richard takes when he travels there.  He is a huge fan of the Smokey Mtns and has taken 100's of gorgeous pics over the yrs and when you said Coweta Co. Tenn I had to go wait a min doesn't he live in Georgia, I checked and then Tammy clarified it. Easy to get mixed up. I will be visiting Gatlinburg on my trip in Nov when I go to Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg is so close which I didn't know until researching things I plan on doing there so it will be a fun trip. 

Love all these posts and possibly one day I will have some land in Tenn. I do have an older brother who lives in Nashville and a mtn home in Sevierville Tenn which is very close to Pigeon Forge.

OMG, Dick Greenberg wasn't that jaw-dropping?? I could easily plant myself there or transport it virtually to Fishhawk Lake. Yup, you had me at "treehouse". Ironically, I put my "designer treehouse" at Fishhawk Lake into sale pending today! NOTHING remotely close to this, but I AM making someone's dream come true, so that's enough. 

Gosh,  Gary Woltal I had a feeling it was beautiful, but turned out to bean absolute no-brainer finding worthy photos to highlight how breathtaking it really is!

Whoopsie, Tammy Lankford! Thanks for havin' my back and straightening this girl out! I was juggling a lot today, including putting one of my listings into sale pending, working on another offer and trying to look at making two more offers and deal with a future seller with questions...a busy Tuesday, but I STILL made it out onto the lake with galpals! 

OH, Sharon Lee that's all so EXCITING!!! Your trips are sounding just like travel perfection and maybe you can be a landbaronness someday soon! You deserve it.

I KNOW, Kathy Streib I got so lucky this week as these folks supply an endless stream of fantastic possibilities for future Tuesday Travelogue posts. I could have spent hours upon hours cruising through their localism posts. I wanted to do a barn one of Rob's, but ran out of time to go find one! 

 

 Rob Thomas my friend, you're the BEST!!! So appreciative, warm and just a terrific guy. I'm proud to have you featured and could have chosen SCADS more...but this one was good for telling people about a cool place to visit in Tennessee.
