Get Off the Fence
“It doesn’t matter which side of the fence you get off on
sometimes. What matters is getting off. You cannot
make progress without making decisions.”
Jim Rohn 1930 – 2009, American Entrepreneur, Author,
Motivational Speaker
As I see it . . . . . . .
Get off the fence
When there’s a decision that have to be made . . . . Make it and get off the fence . . . . and do what has to be done to make forward progress.
You can go into a business planning meeting . . . . and no one wants to speak up . . . . to make a decision . . . . or put their idea on the table. They sit there in gridlock . . . . and nothing positive is happening.
They’re setting there with passive body language . . . . and avoiding eye contact because they don’t want to be asked a question . . . . Or to be asked to make a decision.
The people around the table are in fear of making a mistake. Or in presenting their viewpoint . . . . that could be difference then what’s being presented.
There is no forward progress in setting on the fence . . . . When people are not making decisions they are heading in the direction of falling off the fence . . . . and accepting other people making decisions for them.
When you give up your give up your right or ability . . . . to make decisions . . . . You surrender you future to other peoples whims.
Don’t be a fence sitter . . . Get off the fence . . . . and when a decision has to be made . . . . make it.
