Realtor Safety Kit

By
Mortgage and Lending with George Souto NMLS #65149 FHA, CHFA, VA Mortgages NMLS #65149

With so many concerns about Realtor safety and the Spring Market coming up, I have decided to put together a Realtor Safety Kit above to hand out to my Realtor Partners consisting of:

Key Ring Flashlight

Key Ring Whistle

Realtor Safety Tips Card

OH yes I forgot my business card, so if all else fails my picture on the card will scare the assailant away.  These Realtor Safety Kits were easy to put together, and very affordable.

Is anyone else doing anything to address Realtor safety?  If you are share your gift idea here in the comment section below.

Thanks for thinking of our safety, I'm sure your picture will be an attractant not a deterrent. Seriously though the key chain flashlight is a great thing even if the only threat is my own clumsiness on a dark uneven surface.

George, It seems like this subject comes up when a Realtor has been attacked or killed.  It is talked about for a while then it dies down.   All talk and no action.  At least that's my take on it.

I think there may need to be some significant changes in the way business is conducted.

Hi George, violence is all around us, we're not immune to it whether we have a safety kit or not. It's always good to meet buyers in a public place prior to previewing a home or take someone with us.

George, I do have a system in place as do most agents in the office. My broker has an app on her phone that when she runs the app knows it and calls police or a predetermined contact. Oh....and nice touch throwing your business card in with the safety kit - would you send me one....then I could leave my 45 Colt at home :)

I can see it now.  An agents gets knocked down and that kit is stolen.  The thief wants to get a mortgage and they call you and then you ask them how they found you and they reply.........

Great idea!  We all need to look out for each other.

Now as for Ed Silva  and Noah Seidenberg you two can just do a skit to show up how all this works!

Larry Johnston I am laughing because my husband, The Professor, gave me some pepper spray to carry with me at all times.

REaltor Safety is an important subject.  I remember when I was first licensed in 1981, we didn't think about it as much.  But, increasingly, there seems reason to be more concerned!
