Separate . . . . Yourself From the Crowd

“The toughest part of getting to the top of the ladder,

is getting through the crowd at the bottom.”

Anonymous

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Separate . . . . yourself from the crowd

When you are standing . . . . and looking up at the ladder of life you will be surrounded by a crowd. You are looking up at the rungs . . . . of the same ladder that you will have to climb to reach the top.

There will be many people looking at the ladder of success . . . . There will only a few that will venture onto the ladder . . . . and take the first step.

There will be a number of people telling you that the climb will be hard . . . . and at times uncertain . . . . There is no forward progress to stay with them standing on the ground.

In order to climb the ladder of success you have to step onto the ladder . . . . and leave behind the people who are not willing to take the journey with you.

Separate . . . . yourself from the crowd . . . . and climb the ladder of success.

Good morning Lou Ludwig ,

Very appropriate message this morning. I just encountered an incident of an agent deeply discounting their commission to get a listing from some past clients.....I separated my self and won the listing..no need to lower yourself down the ladder..they saw the difference in professionalism.

Being that I have a fear of heights, I don't climb many ladders, but if it is a ladder to success, I might just dare to climb it.

And the moral of the story I derive is this, when you get to the top, there's nowhere else to go except down. Enjoy the rungs along life's journey - they are the ones that you'll remember the most.

Training and experience are two major rungs on that ladder that newbies often times are not willing to climb Lou Ludwig which is why a 30 plus year training participant like myself is at the top of the crowd.

Hi Lou... when I trained new agents I always emphasized that they need to always think in terms of "points of differentiation" as the public perceives us as commodities. And to separate yourself you need to take risks others won't and think outside the box in ways that others are hesitant to do.
