Family Day at our Home in Camas

We are having great weather this weekend in the Pacific Northwest, and Clark County is no exception. Yesterday was simply lovely and today promises more sunshine with temperatures near 80 degrees. At our multi-gen home in Camas, Sunday's are family day and we usually work on a project together and finish the day with a family meal hosted by one of the couples.

Couples, you may ask? What kind of crazy commune are you living at in Camas? Actually, our home includes my sister and her husband, my husband and me, and our elderly parents. Here's the complete story if you want more details. Since Cheri and Bob are still on their road trip, Bernie and I are holding down the fort this month. One of our projects this weekend is building garden boxes, including a cold-frame for tender veggie starts. It's still getting cold at night at our higher elevation.

Dad, who has excellent building skills, brought his advice and encouragement to the project. Mom, an avid gardener, and I talked about what to plant, when, and where for optimal growth. You get the idea. Family day brings us together to share ideas, challenges, and good conversation. During the week, we have quite a bit of privacy if we choose.

As REALTOR's who specialize in family estates, properties with acreage, and multi-generational homes, we think having privacy and space is a huge part of this enjoyable lifestyle. It also helps to be surrounded with beautiful and soothing landscapes with Nature As Neighbors.

Multi-Family Home of the Week

This week's featured multi-generational home is located in one of our favorite Camas neighborhoods, The Summit at Autumn Hills on Livingston Mountain. The nearly 5500 sq ft custom 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home sits on five acres. Two stories of floor-to-ceiling Pella windows frame the stunning views of Mt. Hood, city lights, and the valley.  The lower level has 1300 sq ft for separate living space.

If you'd like to learn more about ViewHomes of Clark County™, and multi-generational lifestyles, we'd be happy to meet for a complimentary consultation.

I'm trying to get outside soon and play. The sunshine and blue sky is calling my name, or maybe it's the goats up the hill, "Deee eee eeb." Either way, I'm trying to discipline myself for a few more comments....

A window into your home life is a spectacular example of what joys you can bring to multi-gen buyers when you can fully understand their needs AND their wants.

Oh, to be a fly on the wall (or a bee in your garden) to absorb all of the experiences your parents are passing down...you and your family set a wonderful tone for others!!

Debb, it sounds like the perfect Sunday in Camas. I really enjoy reading your posts about multi-gen living. Reminds me of the days my Grandparents lived with my parents, by far some of my favorite memories are all of us just hanging out together.
