It's that time of year when the ice is melting off the lakes and most of the snow that remains on the ground is in the heavily wooded areas of Grand Mesa. After a snowy winter, the summer is finally here. I know it doesn't look like it from the pictures, but trust me on this. These pictures were taken about two weeks ago, and a lot of snow has melted since then.
We had some late winter storms that dumped quite a bit of snow on The Mesa, and until just recently some of the roads were still closed. Yes, even into June, there can be quite a bit of snow on Grand Mesa...as you can see.
This is the time of year when the Grand Mesa real estate activity begins.
The season is starting off with many different cabins and lots on the market.
- At this time there are six cabins listed in the local MLS. One is already under contract.
- Prices start at $185,000 and go up to $329,000. The average listed price is $252,983 and the median price is $257,500.
- If you would like to build your own custom cabin we also have vacant lots for sale. There are six lots on the market with prices starting as low as $48,000 and going up to $65,000.
