I have just seen the most beautiful home ever, Litchfield County

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties Licensed in Connecticut

I went out yesterday with my office leader to look at a few homes, one was just because we both just had to see it. A home for a very discriminating buyer in Litchfield County, someone who wants privacy, who appreciates only the best in a home. I wish I could show you photos, but I can't. Photos wouldn't do it justice anyway.

I have seen many homes over the years, all sizes and prices. From the smallest of homes to palatial mansions, but I have never, ever seen a home that was as well designed and well built as this home. Not a detail was overlooked. The finishes were the cherry on top. Truly spectacular.

I don't even know how to properly describe this amazing home. I wandered around it and wishing that I could afford the few million it will go for. That price is a bargain at best for what this home offers. I am serious, I have never, ever seen such a beautiful home.

The views over the Litchfield Hills are jaw dropping to say the least, and from every room no less. And private. Here is an example of the types of views you can expect to see from this truly amazing home.

The details in the woodworking alone were enough to take my breath away. The layout seemed to be perfect for any lifestyle. Entertaining, just relaxing and enjoying, this home is built to be cherished.

When I was walking down the stairs I stopped, not just to look at the room below, but because the feel of the banister was something I really can't describe in words. You just don't find quality like this on a regular basis.

On top of all that there is incredible value in this home. The listing agent told us the home had been appraised for 8 million, well after the market crash. I can believe it, I have seen homes here in Litchfield County listed for 8 million and they just don't compare. And this home is set to sell for significantly less money.

I wish I could show it to you here. It took my breath away, and that doesn't happen often! There are certainly more homes for sale in southern Litchfield County that are beautiful, that are special, that offer that certain something for the person looking for the perfect quintessential Connecticut country home. But I will not soon forget the home I saw yesterday.

Hi Andrea... these views are spectacular, but now you've left me salivating for pictures of this house. Not fair being such a tease!

Nina, if it were my listing, I would have done so. I will send you the full listing from the MLS though. I couldn't help myself, this is truly the best house I have ever seen. And as agents, I don't think we are easily impressed. We see too many homes of all types and sizes!

Hi Andrea... after 25 years, I don't get impressed by too many homes, but when a spectacular one comes along it is memorable, as a result.

Nina Hollander by the way, those views are not from the house. They are similar however. I didn't want to invade their privacy. I go around with my camera much of the time. It's a good thing I work in rather rural areas, not many cars behind me to get angry when I come to a screeching halt because of what I see outside the car windows!

This is what Connecticut looks like, and I can't even spell the name of your state? This is incredibly beautiful, Andrea. Why can't you show the photos? Won't the listing agent give you permission? When I stumbled across that castle in Loomis, I just called the agent and asked if I could publish her photos.
