On A Positive Note…

Writing.

Provides the opportunity to share thoughts...ideas.

In this forum, I share information about real estate.  Lots of market reports. Some local news too.  And on occasion a trip off-the-beaten track figuratively and literally.

But stuff happens.  So does life.

So I also take a journey of writing things that may never be in the public domain.

Such was the case recently.

Something happened.  It shouldn’t have.  I wanted revenge.

I had thoughts. Many of them were not nice. Some I wanted to put into action.   But instead...I wrote.

I’m not going to share those thoughts...they are no longer a part of a plan....and of course, all that incriminating evidence stuff...by the way ---- that’s a joke...really.  Really it is.

I’m over it.   And back on a positive note….

You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.

Joyce Meyer

Getting over a painful experience is much like crossing monkey bars. You have to let go at some point in order to move forward.

C S Lewis

If you cannot be positive, then at least be quiet.

Joel Osteen

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

 Herm Albright

Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones,

you'll start having positive results.

Willie Nelson

Here’s to being positive.  Each and every day.   Even when it’s not so easy.

Hi Michael Jacobs - I love this post and agree that pushing that negative out of our heads and hearts really does help us move well beyond the negatives.  Great quotes and I have to say, writing is great therapy for me too!  ;-)

Michael, that is why they have a delete button on your computer.  Do I really want to say that, I will let them have a piece of my mind.  Then again who cares what you think, don't get sucked in to the negative. I like it, keep it positive I get it.

When people realize they have control over their thought process and begin to discard the negative thoughts, life will start to look different.

Thanks for sharing.

Real Estate is an emotional roller coaster - a dangerous business, those emotions! Here we are, flying down the tracks, arms in the air, screaming as we plummet down a steep incline. Hopefully laughing through our tears when the camera snaps our action photo. Reminding ourselves, "business is business" can help weather a real estate agent though a rough ride and return you to the station. We must all remember to buckle up the safety harness (the lips and tongue, a.k.a. the fingers on a keyboard) on this particular carnival ride!

Excellent Post! Thank You Michael.

Michael you are awesome where is the son of a gun let me and Schmo take care of the guilty party.... that way you can remain positive. BTW I loved these two quotes:

Being a blogger really does change you...it makes you think in a whole new way. Just thinking about how you can turn a situation into a blog post reduces the pain of the experience. It makes us think and that's a very good thing. Love the quotes!

Nice post, loved the quotes, and interesting comments. Michael, the monkey bars, and the trapeze were my favorites. What were yours?  Sorry about the little incident you alluded to and happy to hear you recovered. As Realtors, for instance, we know the feeling. Stings, huh?!? Wishing you a wonderful and magical day!

I was experiencing a brain freeze when the idea for this post came forth Sharon Tara -- you never know what will spark an inspiration and it was a lot more therapeutic than an hour on a "couch" or a punch in the offending party's gut.

I can't choose a favorite Jane Chaulklin-Schott -- each one has a special meaning.
