Lonely Outpost in the Northern Wildernessinteresting sights while cruising timber

I sent my camera along with Nick yesterday as he was cruising some timber along the Canadian border.

Expecting him to get some nice vista shots across the Rainy River into Canada, instead he returned with a couple dozen pics of trees, trails and other interesting sights.

This one caught my eye as I wondered what a Border Patrol or RCMP Officer would have to do to get assigned to this lonely outpost with temps nearly 30 below and windchills compounding this.

Bob,

Wow Bob Crane , maybe they should turn it into a jail cell, I'd certainly stay on the straight and narrow to avoid a night or two out there.

Bob interesting point, although I have not had the displeasure of having -30 degree weather.... I have been assigned in the "good old days of the cold war" to be on the German- Czechoslovakian Border ( now two separate countries)  and the scenery looked similar although it was closer to minus 10 degrees for us and we would read a lots of books (pre Internet) and listen to any unusual activities...Endre
