Harry's Top 5 Reasons Why First Impressions Still Matter

phoenix real estateI know many of us discuss the lack of professionalism in our industry. However, it starts with me on how I conduct myself in my real estate business. First, I still dress to impress when meeting a client for the first time. That is how I was brought up when conducting business. However, I see many other agents with ripped jeans and a pair of old sneakers when discussing real estate business. Hey, if it works for you then more power to you. However, I will continue to dress for success.

Harry's Top 5 Reasons Why First Impressions Still Matter

  1. Clean cut and neatly dressed will always have a better first impression compared to cut off jeans and messed up hair in my opinion.
  2. A firm handshake is still respected in business versus a wimpy handshake
  3. Enthusiasm shows the client that you are still passionate about real estate plus it is contagious
  4. Paying attention to each others body language is vital
  5. Being prepared is always important in obtaining business versus just winging the meeting. Client will feel more confident in your ability to get the job completed.

How are you doing in your real estate business today?

Roy, I see everything from ripped jeans to suits and dresses still.   I like to wear dress slacks and blouses and dresses in the summer.   I do not own any ripped jeans.
