At the Active Rain Meet Up organized by Kathy Streib I met Neil Archer who is new to real estate but not d to entrepreneurship. Neil organized his 11th British Car and Motorbike Show in Carlin Park by our condo and what an incredible show it was today. First off, when you have 80 degrees and sunny skies with a cool breeze coming off the ocean it makes for a great day for anything. However when you have McLarens, Jags, Lambos, Triumphs, Austins, MG.s Rolls, Land Rovers, and I could keep going on it is eye candy for the car enthusiast, but anyone who appreciates history and quality was in for a treat.
I featured a Jaguar XKE that was coming into the show because I have a Jag fanatic as a friend back home who took 25 years to restore his E Type. This crazy dude took 34 years and it shows. As a former XKE owner I can tell you that Jaguars from the 60's were not always put together seamlessly. This baby was perfect and the smile you can see says this was a labor of love. When you think about real estate, how many people do you know like this? I wish our industry took the painstaking care that this gentleman did with his care. We could stand more crazy perfectionist and fanatics when it comes to service, and this is one of many I saw at the show. I think I should do a link to photo album of the hundred or so cars a photographed.
Back to Neil Archer for a moment, through his friend and fellow REALTOR@ Mark Loewenberg who is a regular on Active Rain he will be joining us here. Neil has accomplished a lot more than just wonderful car shows and after talking to him at our Meet Up and seeing this show I know that he will be a major success in real estate, in fact I think he will think this is easy compared to his other endeavors. Be on the lookout for Neil here and please encourage and support him. FYI, I didn't buy one of the $260,000 McLarens. My wife is very grateful.
