How You React to Obstacles

“Success is determined not by whether or not you face obstacles,

but by your reaction to them and if you look at those

obstacles as a containing fence, they become your

excuse for failure. If you look at them as a hurdle,

each one strengthens you for the next hurdle.”

Dr. Ben Carson American Neurosurgeon, Author,

17th United States Secretary of Housing and

Urban Development

As I see it . . . . . . .

How you react to obstacles

You can look at an obstacle . . . . and see it as barrier to your success . . . . Or you can look at the same obstacle . . . . and see it as a hurdle to be cleared along the way to achieve your goals.

How you see an obstacle . . . . will dramatically affect how you respond to the hurdle . . . . and in the actions . . . . or lack of effort you expend to clear the hurdle.

With a positive mindset you will see an obstacle as just a hurdle that you are meant to clear to maintain your forward momentum on your success journey.

How you react to obstacles . . . . is in your mindset . . . . Keep your mindset positive . . . . and you will see the obstacles as just a hurdle for you to clear . . . . and move past.

Good morning, Lou --- and as Randy Pausch said -- we cannot change the cards we are dealt, just how we play the hand.
