How to Stay in Touch with Contacts All Year Long

With Information They'll Want to Receive

Staying "top of mind" with your current and prospective contacts is a must.  It helps you continue to build relationships with current contacts.  It also helps you build trust with prospective contacts. Here are some ideas for staying in touch with your contacts all year long.

Share interesting news specific to them and their interests.

Just about everyone is on social media.  Connect with them on a business and personal level.

Create and email a monthly or weekly newsletter.  Send them an email when you write a new post.

Add them to an appropriate drip campaign.  Personalize your drips.

Give them a call.

Remember special occasions like birthdays, home and personal anniversaries, holidays, etc.

What do you do to make sure you're the one they think of when they need you?

Good tips for how to stay in contact.  One question, how long is your newsletter?  Is it a full page or is it more?

Anna Hatridge - Instead of writing a monthly newsletter, I have chosen to send a weekly personalized email to my contacts.  It has some teaser text from my latest post along with a direct link back to the original post.  I have clients who only do a single page newsletter and one person who does a 4-page mailer.

I appreciate your tips on Staying in Touch all year long.

There are people who stay in touch with me every week. I have come to ignore their newsletter as I think it is too often.

Hi Paula "What do you do to make sure you're the one they think of when they need you?"  I just listened to a webinar this morning by a top producer in my company and he emphasized one touch per month to everyone in your data base.  Life happens  -- and your past clients may need your services sooner than you think -- job transfers, death, divorce, remodel, kids to college, etc. and getting that call is very valuable.
