North Hill Bowl has been around so long... did they build Minot around it?

Today's broadcast of Minot Real Estate Today is an interview with Rory Selk, Pro Shop Manager of Minot's North Hill Bowl. Currently there are 3 generations of the Selk family working at North Hill Bowl on a daily bases and Rory is training up the 4th. North Hill Bowl is another great reason to say "there is ALWAYS something to do in Minot ND".

Minot Real Estate Today is broadcast over the air every Friday by two minot radio stations. You can listen in live on 106.9 FM at 12:10 (over the lunch hour) and on 1320 AM at 4:45 PM. Hello Bob,  I know bowling alleys are in lots of small towns  in Nebraska for the farmers to do things.

This one is really thriving Will Hamm and it may be because there are so few left in smaller towns around here.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for sharing. You are right there are so few around now a days. I enjoyed bowling as a kid even now as an adult but I don't seem to find the time to do it.

I bowled league before marriage and children but like you it's hard to find the time now unless it's for a birthday party or something Steve Higgins

My grandmother was a bowler and traveled around the country winning trophies. I'm not a big fan of bowling allies myself, but I know they can be fun for many.  Glad to hear your Minot one is thriving. D

So many of Sacramento's bowling alleys have disappeared over the years.  I can remember when it seemed they built shopping centers around them.

I imagine our long hash winters do a lot to keep them popular here Myrl Jeffcoat but that being said North Hill Bowl has kept itself on the cutting edge of entertainment to keep people interested even if they are not avid bowlers.
