August Challenge- get some new reviews
I search new products and services by reading reviews. Do you?
This is a personal challenge for me as well as a challenge for all of you. If it's easy for you to ask and get reviews then yay, it's some extra points. If it's not, like it's not for me then get out of your comfort zone and ask those clients to help you out.
When you buy something do you look at the reviews on line? I sure do. I recently bought a product that I had in my shopping cart, then I decided to read the reviews and changed my mind. 25% of the reviews said "this product is trash, don't waste your money". I ended up searching for days and paying a lot more than I expected, but getting the kitchen-aid that had 90% great reviews.
It made me realize that potentially prospective clients that find my website might want to know what other people's experience is with me. Back when zillow started reviews I asked a few people and so I had some good reviews on line, but frankly it looked like I hadn't had a client in 5 years and I thought... gosh I need to get some fresher reviews added so I've been working on trying, but I'm going to do this challenge with you.
In August get 5 new reviews/testimonies from past clients.
You get 100 points for each up to 5 and a bonus points of 250 if one of them is a video testimony. Then write a post and put links (or screen shots) to the new reviews/testimonies s and write about how you went about asking these past clients to do this for you.
Asking people to review me is something I personally struggle with and am working to overcome. I recently got two new ones and I also recently got a client who hired me because of my reviews they found posted on zillow.com
And on a side note an additional post could be written/required to discuss opinions of where reviews are most important and why the writer thinks so. and an additional 250 points for that post. This part can even be done by folks who aren't actively still in the business and looking to have reviews on line. You can still share your experience and ideas for asking clients for reviews.
That would mean that a possible 1000 points could be available.
