Hi Barbara: Lots of windows on that house, doncha know? Wow. Nice appeal. Although, as a buyer, I would maybe consider railings for the steps and a winding sidewalk to the street. Very pretty house!

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents code calls for railing with more than 3 risers.... not a good look on a home with brick stairs...takes away from the look of the brick...  and the home is much too far off the road for a walkway to the road...the curved walkway is to the driveway as it should be.... there are no homes with walkways to the road unless they were built in the 1950's....  just saying!!

It's probably just my Californian way of looking at this photo, Barb. I have two brick steps on my front porch and we have railings, LOL. Plus, a curved sidewalk down to the street or whatever could also sport an old-fashioned lamp post. But none of this matters. What only matters is what a buyer thinks of this house!

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Real Estate Agent, Top 1% of Lyon Agents this is a very country area.... quite different from Sacramento CA... this style, layout and landscape design is very popular in our area.... what you're describing, including the lamp post to illuminate the walkway is truly typical of 1950's -1960's.... I grew up in a home like that.... it was new at the time!!!!!!!!!!! I'M 1940's vintage.... but you already knew that....

Sounds like a great house for a buyer to call home. Good luck on a speedy sale.
