A time for safflowers to bloom! These are the bright orange thistle blossoms from which safflower oil is made. Their blooms are perfect for an autumnal bouquet. We really like their bright blooms contrasting with they gray green leaves and stems.

I love fresh flowers and should get some this week to enjoy before my trip. These would be perfect.
I am sitting here thinking, those blossoms aren't anything like what I thought Safflowers looked like. I had them pictured as a smaller version of Sunflowers.
I love orange at this time of year and the poincianas are in bloom in Florida.
Those flowers are so unusual. I have never seen them before but they are beautiful. Do they grow on a bush?
