Pondering Again On Answers

Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer,

but the right answer.

Let us not to seek to fix blame for the past.

Let us accept the responsibility for the future.

                                                       John Fitzgerald Kennedy

It may be too easy to ask questions when a little research and perhaps more importantly some soul searching can lead us to the right outcome.  Maybe it's more complicated than that.  Or maybe it's just that simple.  Straight forward.  Putting all the positives and the negatives on the virtual white board and determine some possible answers.  Brainstorming.

This is not a political post.  It's something I believe to be even more important.   How easy is it to simply search for an answer online?  It may be too easy to blame the Internet.  The rights and maybe more importantly the wrongs discovered along the way are part of the learning and growing process.   Are we truly searching for the answer or the one solution that fits our own beliefs?  I don't know.  I was just thinking.

I was reading a story, not related to the real estate industry but it could have been:

Click here to continue.  To learn more.  All of the details.  Everything you want to know.  How tempting.  Or is it?  Is anything too tempting?  I kinda remember something about a snake some time ago.  Or maybe that was Glenn Close's character in Fatal Attraction.  I digress.  Don't pass go.  And don't click here.

Sad thing now is how isolated we are by our ability to click only on the things that satisfy our position, our belief, our agenda.  The fairness doctrine was abandoned by the Federal Communications Commission because we have such a plethora of voices - the only problem is that none of them has to be fair now

Michael, I click less and less due to spam. It's too easy to click and not use our brains, they need exercise far more than our fingers. The I want it now mentality just doesn't sit well with me...your pondering always leads to me pondering. Thank you.

Michael Jacobs - I have a feeling I was thinking along your lines which motivated me to write my post today before reading your wonderful post. I just love this one and what Liz and Bill Spear had to say! It is time to focus on issues at hand and stop the finger pointing and all that blame. I'm not a fan of click here. My best class of all time was "Critical Thinking." The premise was to reach your fullest potential and to understand actions have consequences.

Put principles first - live with values!

Kennedy wouldn't be too popular today - when it seems like everywhere we turn there is someone blaming someone else and reveling in being a victim. Ugh.

What on earth kind they find appealing about  being a victim?

It's easy to search for answers that fit with your own opinions. A little more difficult to actually consider the other side. Too bad the people in Congress are unwilling to think.

Hi Michael Jacobs - I wondered off while reading ...thinking of the game show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" with Regis Philbin.  I was amazed at how the audience always had the right answer when they were polled. Sometimes, they were crazy questions yet the audience as a whole had the right answer.  We always work better at finding the answers if we work as a team.

Your post, Michael Jacobs gives a considerable amount of thought and research in regard to questioning and finding answers to questions of the day. It is entirely true that it is much easier to find answers that agree with our personal views and more difficult to deal with opposing views which can be unsettling and uncomfortable.

Michael, I tend NOT to click here, as there are too many ways to get a virus on our computer.   I love to Google the answers on the Internet, but are they always right?  I ponder too.

Wow there is a lot to ponder here. "Click Here" MAY lead to the right answer but it certainly might not, and one should not be quick to simply accept what one finds. And I am pretty suspicious of those CLICK HERE requests.

Jane Chaulklin-Schott - far too easy.  I guess the simpler it becomes, the better the "payback".

Joan Cox - pondering the right answers can be overwhelming.  Don't you think?

Jeff Dowler, CRS - suspicious with reason

Roy Kelley - I believe you are right.

Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR - avoiding them is obviously a wise decision.
