On The Subject Of Infrastructure

I was thinking. About an entirely different subject.  And then the subject of infrastructure came to mind.  Okay, I know it may not be a typical pondering moment.  But that's how it works.  Sometimes.

Those things around us.  Buildings, roads, tunnels, bridges and such.  There are also examples including the information superhighway along with other critical components such as our systems for education, health care, law enforcement and more.

I am really lucky that I got such good coaches and everything I wanted,

right from the infrastructure to proper coaching.

                                                                                                        P.V. Sindhu

You wouldn't think you would find a badminton player from India on a list of quotes related to the topic but I did.  And I like it.  It speaks of the subject but it says a lot more. And it fit in with some of my thoughts I was pondering.  On the subject of infrastructure.  It's not just the physical.  It's a lot more.  The physical as well as the mental.  Other influences too.  Why not be concerned with our own personal infrastructure?  It makes sense to me.  Not just what is around us but within us too.

The photo in this post was taken by Michael Jacobs.  Perhaps it just the right pondering material.

Hi Michael Jacobs,

I agree with Amanda S. Davidson on this. I often begin to ponder because of a topic you pondered!

Michael, I was just reflecting on this subject of infrastructure yesterday, and how I sometimes take for granted that it takes me a certain predictable number of minutes to move from point A to point B, and how my high school teachers taught me to look at art, dance, music, my garden, and find answers to important 'why's. I enjoyed reading your post very much.

Steffy Hristova - some elements of infrastructure certainly influence our everyday routines while other things enhance our experiences.

Good evening, Michael Jacobs - Infrastructure. A series of connecting the dots to produce functionality. Your pondering on this subject can present a series of illuminating discussions based on each comment.

I agree it's a lot more than physical and mental, perhaps an individual's valuation of her/himself, their mind and how it works, what is the purpose of each one in the world of infrastructure?

Michael I was pondering about your post and sadly I came to the conclusion you are asking too much... as you recall my post of yesterday about instructions given how to wash your hand in Irvine? If people need instructions for that?? Oh boy I do not give much hope for your wish, Endre

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - connecting the dots is a good way to look at this subject and I appreciate the visual image you have shared with the words you chose in your comment.  Yes.I agree  additional insight can be gained from each comment.  About the topic itself as well as the person providing the comment.

Endre Barath, Jr. - ask not and then risk the possiblility of not receiving.  Or is it more of a question of something more magical.  Maybe wishful thinking?  Reality needs to be a part of the solution.  But so do dreams.  At least that's how I see it.  Thank you.

You're so right, Michael - our hardwiring IS our infrastructure and I also agree with Sindhu. Coaching does build upon that and it's often the key to success in our business and in life.

You're so right, Debe Maxwell, CRS.  The use of the word "hard-wiring" is a good one too.  I believe there is a lot of truth in that quote.  In business and in life.

Myrl Jeffcoat - whether it be a clumsy mistake or something more serious, those kinds of incidents can create a certain pause.

Sharon Tara - that's nice of you to say.

Joan Cox - our infrastructure is not improving with age.  Bridges matter.
