I loved this poem the first time I read it as a youngster, and I still love it today. It has inspired Ron and I to seek new ideas and to delve into experiencing the banquet of life...We have no intention of every stopping the journey. David Thoreau said it differently:
If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music which he hears,
however measured or far away
One of our friends told us about Rose Falls in the Los Padres National Forest on the Ojai side (Ventura County). One lane roads, and a hike, some of it uphill. Wild flowers in bloom as we headed up and followed one of the creeks...
And there it was, the waterfall. We sat on a rock listening to the sound, reveling in the beauty of our surroundings and appreciating all that is... It was a moment of enlightenment,
