My Plan for 2020
Going Remote!
Part of my marketing plan as a Realtor was to get on the radio airwaves with a program about local real estate.
With no real plan in mind I approached a local radio station manager and asked him if he would air my program. He said sure. It probably didn't hurt that I had been advertising on his station for the last 12 years or so.
Instead of me yammering away the entire time I decided my program "Minot Real Estate Today" (Now just "Minot Today") would be interviews with local, influential people. The interviews were a good choice and that is still the format of my show today.
Next year I am looking to enhance, not change, my program with two ideas.
#1) I have been conducting my interviews for the studio in my office or out at the radio stations studio. In 20 20 I plan on doing some remote interviews which I think may add to the excitement of the interview and the subject at hand. I've had the equipment to do it for some time but I just had the equipment in studio as a backup in case of failure of my regular recording equipment.
#2) Another "vision" for 2020 is literally "VISION". I am currently on 2 radio stations but why not add television? I recorded my last interview on video as well as audio as a test run and I am pleased except for one very obvious thing... I have a face for radio, not television.
I apologize that the video and audio are NOT in sync. This is the first time I've used YouTube's new video editor and I hope to get it figured out soon so I can fix this. Thank you.
Minot Today is broadcast over the air on two Minot radio stations every Friday. You can find it on 106.9 FM at 12:15 (Noonish) and again at 4:45 on 1320 AM. Of course I always post the broadcast as a Podcast here as well as my Podcast site at Pod-O-Matic.
This is my entry into Debe Maxwell, CRS 's FALL CHALLENGE 2019 - PLAN BY ANSWERING THE DIFFICULT QUESTIONS.
Thank you Debe.
