Other than the usual variety of fruits and vegetables, we also have different vendors. like Fat Uncle Farms who specializes in selling almonds in many flavors including "naked!"We buy the sea salt variety that are perfect as a snack for a long plane trip.
We have been buying shitake mushrooms at the grocery stores on a regular basis. These grown by the Papaya Man are so delicate and delicious.
We also have seasonal vendors who show up with their crop, like these satsumas tangerines pictured above.
The kiwi guy showed up this. He drives quite a distance to get here for us to enjoy his organic crop.
As I writes these posts, Ron and I are constantly reminded of the bounty that surrounds us, and the wonderful dedicated people who grow these delicacies for our enjoyment. We appreciate that they keep their farmlands organic and viable for future generations. This is what inspires us to visit the Farmers Market every Saturday, when we are in town. It is definitely one of our Smile Landmarks.
Wishing you all an abundance of Saturday Smiles, and an enjoyable weekend!
