Sole+Luna in Winnetka IL

Amy Bradley and Jessica Dietrich are two friends who have started something exciting in Hubbard Woods, Winnetka. They’ve taken over the old Sawbridge Studio space and opened, to quote from their Facebook page:

A wellness sanctuary that offers daily ritual for the mind, body, and soul.

What does that mean exactly? Sole+Luna Winnekta IL

Sole+Luna offers a unique set of services that encourage clients to escape the daily race and do something important for their health and vitality in a relaxed and beautiful setting.

They have found a common theme among the people they know: the desire to de-stress and slow down. With nobody offering these services nearby, they decided to open Sole+Luna.

Both Jessica and Amy have separately had their own inspiration for following this path. Jessica spent 2 ½ years in Hong Kong and saw how eastern cultures value self-care and wellness. There were just so many opportunities for people to take better care of themselves. She feels that we don’t do that here - maybe we work out or try to eat healthy foods, but our mental health is not being tended to adequately.

Amy’s introduction to healing services arose when she was recovering from cancer treatments and found acupuncture helped her with pain and sleep issues. They both feel that eastern and western medicines can easily coexist and complement each other.

Since they are friends and neighbors in Winnetka, they thought it would be the perfect place to develop their vision of a haven where people could come in, wind down, try various types of services, and leave refreshed and clear-minded.

They’ve redesigned the entire space with areas that will accommodate the various modalities that they will be offering. Included in that will be a long bar area serving high-quality tea. They found a man who grew up in a tea region in China who will be a great source of tea for them. A grab-and-go refrigerator will complete the area.

Some of their services will be done by rotating specialists that will come in one day a week while others will be offered every day.

Margaret Goss - I have a few people in mind who I think will benefit from the services provided by Sole+Luna. I'll be talking to my friend from Gurnee soon and I'll mention it. I think she would be very interested. If I ever get back your way, I think I would like to try it too! They have a lot to offer. Love their helmets to! What a great team and idea these ladies came up with. I hope they will be very successful.

I never had Reiki done to me; however, I used to attend the annual Greyhound Birthday Party here in TX with friends of mine who adopted Greyhounds. When their last one was getting old, the owners asked me to take the dog on the leash and find somewhere to sit. The dog was very slow and it took a long time for me to find a space. But the interesting thing is all of a sudden that dog picked up speed and started to lead. I just followed and the dog found someones blanket and laid down. I tried to apologize to the owner but she wasn't upset at all. Instead she started petting the dog. I didn't know she was there to give Reiki to dogs for the party. Now that's a sense that was still very keen with that dog! The dog loved it and there is no doubt in my mind Reiki works!

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - the dog story is amazing. They have an innate sense don't they?

I do yoga with a woman who has a demanding tech job with a large national retailer. She just learned and received certification in reiki. She says when her kids were young, she always hovered her hand over their pain areas and saw relief. Now that she's nearing retirement, she's found a 2nd career.
