Six years ago when I lost my Lee, I wanted the house quiet. My husband loved everything about TV and we had one in every room and they were on most of the time.
Lee watched it all and could easily enjoy, at the same time, sports, news, a movie, and was amazingly quick never allowing a commercial to appear.
Try watching TV together. Whenever I watched, just to be with him, I always had my phone or iPad. He was the absolute master of the remote control. Lee did not like being without his big screen...I named our generator a giant backup TV switch.
There was no problem with my ability to sleep, work, read make calls all with the constant sound of the televisions. And they were not on low volume. Even secured a second remote in our bedroom so when he dozed off, I could secretly reduce the sound. Sneaky!
And I removed every TV from the house and only brought one television back. And that was when I did a complete remodel of my home. That is for movies, YOUtube, and visitors..
The former big-screen area now is home to a few of my custom ceramic pieces.
** I get my news from my phone or computer. Highlights are more than enough for me. My favorite app is named “Good News”
